Live lounge is a show on BBC Radio 1 where Jo Whiley brings in famous stars and they sing covers of famous songs, with the freedom to put their own spin on it, and some really good covers have been produced. It also means that they don't directly own the rights to the track, and none of them have been chart hits, which means that the criteria for the brief would be met. The only problem I think would be that a lot of the live lounge covers are quite slow and mellow, where perhaps a more upbeat, energetic track would be ideal for this project.
